The summer months are always an extremely busy time on the farm for us here at Broglasco. Dodging between the showers, oilseed harvest is well under way, and we are super excited to have it in the drying sheds! Fingers crossed the rain
stops and Richard can keep at it. We are very lucky to be in control of the whole process, cutting, drying, cleaning the seed, then bagging and storing until we press, bottle & deliver Liquid Gold
Once the oilseed is cut, we bring it into our gas drying floors. There is no heat added to the process at all. It is all cold air that blows up through the base of the floor, and the arms rotate back and forward to ensure its all dried to the right moisture.
Not only is harvest keeping us super busy on the farm, but we have been working very hard behind the scenes for over a year now to perfect another fab product to add to our gift range for you all to enjoy, and now the date has finally come for us to announce the launch date!!! (01.08.23) We wanted to create a little bottle small enough so you can try each of our infused oils! So that is
exactly what we have done with 6 little mini 100ml bottles, the perfect size!

As we have mentioned before out plant is currently undergoing a huge renovation for expansion so that is keeping us on our toes. Hopefully we will be able to reveal all in the coming months so stay up to date for that info soon!
Also, a little update on our acre of sunflowers as you can see, we are delighted that they are coming on so well, and so are the bees & butterflies!! If you’re driving by pop in, they make a great backdrop for a beautiful picture (Plus you can nip into our shop and grab yourself some goodies)!
